Key mapping

Controls

Move / sprint	Left / Right (default `A` `D` or `←` `→`) to walk. Hold `Shift` when pressing a direction, or double-tap it, to start sprinting from the ground. Keep the direction held; Shift can be released.
Jump	Up (default `W` or `↑`) · Tap: short · Hold: full, including while sprinting. Shift does not change jump height.
Crouch / fast fall	Down (default `S` or `↓`). For fast fall, make a fresh down tap at the jump peak or while falling.
Attack · Special · Shield · Grab	Default `H` · `J` · `K` · `L`. Remap them under Key mapping.
Smash attack	direction + Attack quickly, hold to charge
Controller Mode	Local multiplayer: enable in Settings or on the fighter screen. P2 uses the Keyboard P2 keys (default numpad: `4`/`6`/`8`/`2` move, `8` jump, `1` attack, `3` special, `7` shield, `9` grab). Real gamepads still attach per human seat.
Phone	Quick sideways joystick flick: sprint. Jump — Tap: short · Hold: full
Gamepad	Stick or d-pad: tilt to walk, quick flick to sprint; right stick: smash attacks. Default buttons: Y / X jump (tap short, hold full), A attack, B special, triggers shield, bumpers grab. Remap them under Key mapping.

How online play works

Netcode. Both browsers run the same simulation from the same seed and send each other only their inputs, over a direct connection when one can be made and through the room when not. Inputs are delayed by two frames and rollback covers the rest, so the game runs at 60 Hz on any connection.
